Water & Light

Water and light are elemental forces—essential to life, yet equally powerful as carriers of meaning and reflection. Beyond sustaining the body, they offer a quieter form of nourishment: a space for stillness, perception, and renewal.

Following the loss of my brother in a car accident, I found myself drawn more deliberately into the natural world. In moments shaped by light and water, I began to experience a subtle but persistent shift—a sense of connection that exists outside of language. The warmth of sunlight on skin, or the immersion into water, becomes less about escape and more about presence.

In these encounters, time seems to loosen. The weight of absence remains, but is held differently—absorbed into something larger, more continuous. Through photographing these moments, I am not seeking resolution, but recognition: of fragility, of endurance, and of the quiet ways we navigate loss while remaining connected to life.
